About the Infrared Camera

The infrared camera used by Infra-Tex is just one of the many tools used during
inspections.  However, it is one of the most advanced pieces of technology available to the
inspection industry.  While there are many infrared cameras available, not all of them have
the same capabilities.  Several factors can determine the imaging quality of a camera,
such as: sensor size, field of view, sensitivity, and ability to actually measure temperature.
Some cameras have a very small sensor which leads to low resolution images or the
camera may only provide a grayscale image without any indication of the actual
temperature of the object and no control of the temperature range being viewed.

Infra-Tex uses an advanced technology camera with a high resolution sensor.  The
camera can also calculate the temperature of an object, which can be important in
determining the severity of a potential problem.
